HOW TO FIRE
Slide button forward off Safety — then press down firmly to fire. Remember to spray by sliding button completely forward, and then press down with extra firm pressure to the bottom of the button's downward motion. Practice first using two thumbs to press on the button, and then practice using one thumb.

SAFE TO CARRY
Only Spitfire^® has an internal Automatic Safety. Due to its child resistant design, it will no go off unless you want it too.  

ACCURATE
Reliably hit an attacker's face without aiming, especially when grabbed from behind. Spray his face and eyes. Temporarily blinding him creates the opportunity for you to get away.

FLOAT TEST
Know your pepper canister is still loaded by simply dropping the red canister into water at room temperature. If it floats up and breaks the surface, replace it. If not, it is ready to use.

Spitfire^® pepper canisters work best for about 24 months. Check the expiration date printed on the pepper canister and perform the Float Test regularly.
